About Rod Gibson
Title: Town Councillor, Vice Chair
Rod has lived in Kesgrave since 2005 and has become a familiar and valued part of local community life. After retiring from a career in insurance, he joined the Town Council and has since dedicated a great deal of time to helping shape the future of the town.

Rod has lived in Kesgrave since 2005 and has become a familiar and valued part of local community life. After retiring from a career in insurance, he joined the Town Council and has since dedicated a great deal of time to helping shape the future of the town.
His involvement in the Neighbourhood Plan, which he chaired from 2018 until it was formally confirmed in 2021, reflects his commitment to making sure Kesgrave continues to grow in the right way for residents. Rod now serves as Deputy Chair of Kesgrave Town Council and Chair of the Planning & Development Committee. He is a regular and enthusiastic supporter of Town Council events, whether calling bingo on the Felixstowe outing or even showing off his salsa dance moves at the popular afternoon tea parties.
Beyond the council, he volunteers as charity secretary for the Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre and represents the Town Council on the board of SPARK Kesgrave, supporting local sport and recreation projects. He has also played an important role in the consultation work behind the recently installed Kesgrave Pump Track (Tru Park) at the Millennium Sports Ground. Recently becoming a grandfather for the first time has brought him even more joy and given him another reason to help ensure families thrive in Kesgrave.
